Filezilla: How to log-in
You can log-in all communication with the server in Filezilla and start working with it in two different ways. In the following paragraphs you will learn how to log-in.
Screen log
The first logging type is the screen log. You can always use it as a way to log-in, but sometimes when you use the View Menu, the pane can be hidden. Please note, that the number of displayed lines on the screen log is limited, long logs may scroll out of the screen and can't be recalled.
What is logged
- Timestamp (optional)
- Description: Status, Command, Response, Trace etc.
- Log text: Commands sent, status messages and more
Location
The log pane is placed directly below the QuickConnect bar on default, but you can change its place by using the interface settings:
- Above the file lists
- Next to the transfer queue
- As tab in the transfer queue pane
